Juan Diesel Morel is a sponsored bodybuilder who has been competing since 2007. In his first competition at NPC east coast in NJ, he received second place, qualifying him for nationals. Although he did not place in the NPC finals, it did not deter him from competing. In fact, in 2008, Juan won heavyweight division and overall title in the Suburban Championship and placed 2nd the heavyweight division in the 2008 NPC Easterns. In 2009 he placed 7th in the Jr. Nationals, and soon after he dominated Grande Prix, winning the super heavyweight division and overall. The following year, in 2010, Juan placed second in the North American Championships, moving into nationals and winning second place.
2011 was a great year for Juan. Not only did he place 2nd in the USA Championships, he also placed first in super heavyweight and overall, winning his much-deserved pro card. Juan made his pro debut at the New York Pro Championships in 2012, bringing home 4th place. That same year Juan went on to earn his first pro win at Europa Battle of Champions. Juan was qualified for the 2012 Olympia and ended up winning rookie of the year for Flex even though he sat out this completion.
In 2013, Juan competed in the New York Pro again and came in third place. That year, he also competed and placed 2nd in the Tampa Pro. He went on to place 2nd in Arnold Classic Brazil in 2014. He then competed and placed 2nd in the New York Pro and won in the Toronto Pro, qualifying him for Olympia. Once at his Olympia debut, he placed top 10. Juan competed in the European tour; Arnold Spain, Dubai, Prague and Italy.
Juan’s love for fitness goes well beyond competing. Along with constantly improving his own body, he has been coaching clients since 2007, providing workout programs, meal plans, and even 1-on-1 coaching. Juan is known everywhere he goes as the life of the party, which is why whenever he walks through the door everyone knows, “now it’s a party!”
